City Salsa Vibe keeps you dancing each week with 3 to 4 memorable parties. Keep informed about our special events, shows, long weekend celebrations, workshops, classes, special offers, weekly DJs, instructors and door prizes and sign up for our weekly e-newsletter. Door prize winners will be notified by e-mail.

Each event starts with a complimentary lesson included with your cover. Check out our ”Upcoming” page to see who is teaching this week with CSV. You don’t need a partner or any previous dance experience for any of our beginner lessons. All levels of dancers are welcome.

We also believe it is important for you to watch more experienced dancers. As you are learning we encourage you to stay for the party after the lesson. If you feel comfortable enough; venture out onto the dance floor to practice your new moves. You will find that City Salsa Vibe parties engender a comfortable atmosphere and will get you going in no time. Even if you are a beginner you should feel comfortable to approach anyone and ask them to dance. Be honest, tell them you are a beginner and you will be amazed at how people are more than willing to dance with you. Before you know it you will be the one dancing with a new-comer and making them feel welcome. Come out with a great attitude and a willingness to learn and you never know who you will meet!

Each weekend, we have different themes and dance demonstrations as we introduce you to different cultures and dance disciplines. Not only do you find fun with City Salsa Vibe, we evoke a sense of cultural diversity; from Belly Dance to Fire Eaters to Samba Dancers to Capoeira performers, you will see it all with City Salsa Vibe!

Each of our events offers a fully licensed bar for those of you who would simply like to sit back and enjoy the ambiance of the evening, grab a little liquid courage or enhance the evening with friends.

City Salsa Vibe welcomes dancers of all levels to the Howard Johnson Hotel Salsa room. From complete beginner to seasoned pro, we have room for everyone. If you are a beginner or an intermediate and would like to pick up a few extra pointers, take the drop in dance lessons from 8pm-9:30pm for only $15. Some of Vancouver’s top instructors introduce you to Salsa, Bachata, Cha-Cha-Cha and Merengue. Grab a group of friends or come out on your own and you will be dancing with a new partner every few minutes during our lessons. Previous dance experience is not necessary for beginner lesson as many take their first steps with City Salsa Vibe.

This week Drop in beginner & intermediate Dance Lessons
8-9:30pm $15 

Class is tought by Patrick and Scarlet of Dance Vancouver 
This lesson is on a drop-in basis for beginner and intermediate students. Students can join at anytime seeing as this is not a registered progressive series. These lessons cover the basic steps, solo foot-work (shines) and partnering turn patterns. These lessons are a great opportunity for students to take Dance classes without having to commit to an entire series.
Cost: $15 (includes admission)  Time 8:00 - 9:30pm

We welcome Singles, Couples and Groups of friends. Don't know how to dance? No partner? No problem! Our Complimentary lessons at the beginning of the night provide the basics you need to get out on the floor and feeling good. You'll meet new people as we rotate every few minutes. Salsa and Latin Dance is a great way to keep in shape both socially and physically!

Every Friday is a Party at the Polish. So, what are you waiting for? Grab your friends, your lover or venture out on your own and join the party.
